I had decided in Oct 2017 to add a new dog to our family. I said a prayer to the universe. I had planned on adopting a dog from a Colorado shelter, one that no one else wanted and was fairly young. Boy did the universe have different plans for me. A wonderful friend Lisa was in Nepal and helping in a shelter there for her vacation. She was volunteering with a rescue group from the US. She texted me and asked if I would foster a partially paralyzed one year old female dog that everyone had fallen in love with. I have fostered special needs dogs before. She sent me her bio and picture. I fell in love and agreed to adopt her.
Her name is FOZZIE.
She was going to be flown to Dallas the end of Oct 2017. So the last weekend of Oct 2017 my wonderful friend Jean and I drove to Dallas and brought back Plum (another paralyzed dog from Nepal who got adopted to a wonderful home in Denver) and Fozzie. 11 dogs came back from Nepal and have found their fur-ever homes. Fozzie came dragging her backend with sores on it. Due to the Healing Touch for Animals treatments done on her, the sores healed and she has some movement in her backend now and some in her short leg as well. We worked with CSU Vet School and she got her own set of wheels in April 2018. Two wonderful angels donated the money to pay for her cart. Fozzie has taught me so much about what Healing Touch for Animals can do for special needs animals. She is still being a great teacher to me and the world everyday.
See link below for the newspaper story done about her by the Loveland Reporter Herald. They were great and went to her appointment with us in April 2018.
